We're thrilled to welcome Sandra Grabowski to the Gildlings roster!
With a background in both archaeology and graphic design, Sandra brings a unique and exciting perspective to her illustration practice. For many years, she’s worked with international museums and research institutions, translating complex research into clear, engaging scientific imagery. Now, she’s turning that same curiosity and visual intelligence toward children’s publishing.
Sandra’s work is driven by a love of history, science, and storytelling. She has a particular talent for making the ancient world feel immediate and playful, using humour, warmth, and expressive characters to invite young readers in.
Based in Berlin, Sandra can often be found tucked into a café, deep in library research, or exploring the city on foot. She is currently working on her first non-fiction children's book and is open to any children's illustration opportunities, especially in the non-fiction space!
