Animator, illustrator and character designer Andrea Innocent draws on abstraction, symbology, pattern and wordplay to navigate her artwork. Influenced by Japanese folklore and Japanese character design, Andrea creates visual magic in digital and analogue worlds, characters with attitude and emotive backstories. Andrea’s work is all about the ‘Five Cs’: composition, colour, cucumbers, character and conveying a feeling or message.

Andrea is based in Warburton, Australia and studied Fashion Design at RMIT, and Multimedia at Monash University. Her clients include Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Cambridge University Press, Malvern Star, Rolling Stone, Thames & Hudson and headspace.
