Bio
James Gulliver Hancock grew up in Sydney, studied Visual Communications at the University of Technology and is most known for his "All The Buildings In" series.
James has worked on numerous major projects throughout his diverse career, including a large-scale mosaic train station for the Metropolitan Transit Authority in New York. He has also created large murals for major brands including Kelloggs, Target, Toyota and Woolworths.
Using both analogue and digital techniques, James’ visually rich and detailed work takes complex information and ideas and makes them fun and accessible.
He contributed to a kids’ education series for the Museum of Contemporary Art, and created work for a campaign to raise awareness for prisoners on Manus island. Some of James’s clients include the New York Times, Sony, Coca Cola, Lonely Planet and Readers Digest.
