Digital illustrator Mel Matthews’ bright and charming characters have featured in children’s books including Under the Stars - Astrophysics for Bedtime, private commissions, pet portraits, advertising campaigns and everything in between. While studying fine art and illustration in Melbourne, Mel discovered the unlimited potential of digital art-making techniques and now works exclusively in digital format from her Mornington Peninsula studio.

Mel regularly lends her skills to the non-profit sector, including UNICEF, and each year makes time to take on pro-bono work such as donating artwork to raise money for good causes.
